we're a lot closer...or are we?

hey heyyyy

been a bit since an update which i apologize for - but i have been working on everything a lot!

met with aaron twice in the past month to scan through the new songs. he made me have a few key insights that may affect how a couple songs change in some bigger ways, but mostly the songs are on the right track.

there’s still a lot to do which stresses me out, this is honestly the worst part of making the album. you’ll listen to a song and just KNOW something could hit harder, be bigger, be smaller, be more ‘accurate’, feel ‘cooler’, etc… and it just feels like this impossible puzzle.

for example, i swore that “I Get Fucked” was pretty much done, until Aaron suggested we add a drop chorus to precede the final chorus. not too much work there, but it does involve a lot of reworking…thankfully, i got somewhere pretty delightful just now:

some other stuff has been majorly upgraded if you wanna scan through the latest bounces of all the new songs, but the most striking one is this, so i’m dedicating this post to highlighting it.

now…what’s that picture on this post? hahahah. snore captain, my dear friend, sent me that while listening to the current demos of the album. i’d be lying if i didn’t say it’s currently highest in the running of album art concepts… whatcha think?
