SPOILER ALERT

I think it’s about time to make this little post for yas.

I have this old album I made when I was 19 called Goodbyenary Code. It meant a ton to me at the time, and tbh it never stop mattering to me. But at some point I deemed it not up to snuff for the “professional” trajectory of BP and so I took it down.

Well, I had considered doing this for a while, but I guess 2025’s the year where it’s happening. I’ve re-recorded, re-mixed, and re-mastered Goodbyenary Code from SCRATCH.

This is not a dusting off of the old album, making some tweaks and releasing it - this is a careful, intentional rebuilding of the album, molecule by molecule. I’d say about 98% of the sounds on this upcoming version of the album are recorded totally anew.

The practice and experience of making this album was interesting as hell, and so too is the result. I was constantly trying to balance honoring the original material while taking sensible liberties.

If you ask me, the album makes some drastically different moves - however to someone not paying much attention, the old album vs. the new album might sound indistinguishable. In a way I think this is a success. The point was not to make GC different, it was to elevate it, fix some “technical” mistakes and ultimately make it hit your heart harder.

I think I did that, I’m really psyched with how it’s shaping up.

I’m doing final mixing this week, but I want to share with you 3 upcoming singles from this album. Again, these are not final mixes, tbh I’ve already changed these a bunch since. So consider these late stage demos.

Hear the three new singles

I’ve got some interesting plans to release all of this music this year, so stay tuned. Obviously you’ll be first to get the news, since you’re in Pville!

Thanks as always,

-Jesse
